A Palestinian terrorist uses a slingshot to fire stones at Israeli soldiers from behind a barricade of burning tires May 23,2003 in the West Bank town of Hebron. Israelis and Palestinians repeatedly clashed during the week despite talk of a cease-fire, and two suicide bombings on May 25 left three assailants dead and dozens of Israelis injured.
